Abbey Farm Flowers, Dorset
What a spectacular setting for a cutting garden – in the grounds of a medieval abbey on the Jurassic Coast. They've recently added more beds for a more diverse mix of shrubs, annuals and perennials. The garden welcomes hen and birthday parties as well as general visitors for pick your own sessions, and they can arrange workshops, such as hand-tied bouquet making. Tea, cakes and ice creams are available to fuel your flower picking.

Brothers Farm, Dorset
Originally growers of blueberries, brothers Dan and Josh Benson started growing flowers in 2018. While pick your own isn't available on the flower field, visitors can choose their blooms from buckets of daily cuts in the cafe, which serves fresh coffee and blueberry bakes. Open from May to the end of August.

Pythouse Kitchen Garden, Wiltshire
A south-facing 18th-century walled garden filled with a myriad of plants, fruit and vegetables. The cutting beds are lovingly tended to by head gardener Annie Shutt – among them you'll find dahlias, cosmos, delphiniums, foxgloves, sunflowers, candytuft, sweet peas, and a whole host of other flowers. Open for PYO from June to November.

Howe Farm Flowers, Buckinghamshire
Located in the Chiltern Hills, this flower farm growing peonies, nigella and other lovely blooms has sustainability at its core, using municipal compost from collected garden waste. PYO sessions are from Thursdays to Saturdays, and you can arrange to have tea and cake if you wish to extend your visit. After cutting, your flowers will be wrapped up for you to take home. Flower-arranging workshops are also available.

This peony specialist grows over 50 varieties on their farm, including the blousy Etched Salmon and heavenly Coral Sunset.
